About the Program
With nine ballet companies and more than 100 company dancers, DAL Ballet Company offers one of the region’s most extensive ballet programs for dancers ages 6–18. Our progressive training program combines strong classical technique, artistry, and performance experience, providing dancers with a clear path from their first company placement through advanced and pre-professional training.

DAL Ballet Company is designed for dancers who want to make ballet the focus of their training as well as those who choose to cross-train in other areas of dance. Many of our company dancers also participate in DAL Competition Team or the DAL Pre-Professional Program, while others train exclusively through our ballet program. Each dancer can pursue the training path that best fits their individual goals.

Company dancers take weekly ballet technique and company rehearsal classes, with training hours and expectations increasing as they progress through our nine company levels. Eligible dancers may begin pointe work following instructor evaluation and the appropriate technical preparation.

Placement in DAL Ballet Company is by evaluation. Dancers interested in joining our program are invited to contact us to
schedule an evaluation.
Classical ballet Productions
Each December, DAL Ballet Company presents a full-length classical production of The Nutcracker. Rooted in classical ballet tradition, our production brings together dancers from across our nine companies to perform beloved roles including Clara, Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow, Flowers, Spanish, Arabian, and more. Select children's roles are also open to eligible DAL students, giving younger dancers the opportunity to take part in this treasured holiday tradition.

Each spring, DAL Ballet Company presents another classical ballet, giving dancers the opportunity to study and perform a diverse repertoire of classical works. Recent productions have included Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia, Giselle, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and The Little Mermaid.

Through extensive classical training and meaningful performance opportunities, DAL Ballet Company provides a place for dancers at every stage to develop their technique, artistry, confidence, and love of ballet.
